Safety Jobs & Volunteerism

Safety Job Postings
As a value-added service to safety and security professionals, SCWNE has established a new web site section that will list safety and security related job openings that exists at SCWNE member companies. SCWNE Members are asked to email a copy of the job specifications along with company contact information to INFO@SCWNE.ORG. Member companies are responsible for informing SCWNE when the position has been closed out so it can be removed from the job post.

Volunteerism
Are you retired or in job transition and are looking to get involved with something? Do you enjoy teaching others and/or have training experience? Do you have business and office skills that can contribute to what our non-profit safety organization does? Do you have any safety or security background? Do you enjoy creating and implementing programs that help keep children and elders safe? Then the Safety Council of Western New England could use your help.

SCWNE needs enthusiastic volunteers who can give a little or give a lot in terms of time or expertise in helping to keep people safe and run our office. If you enjoy office administration, have training experience and enjoy instructing others, call us. SCWNE training classes cover a wide range of topics. While some instruction requires special certification or experience, there are many topics that SCWNE can help certify you in and provide a venue for delivery (first aid, cpr, bloodborne pathogens, driver improvement, etc).

SCWNE also welcomes individuals with experience in office administration, fund development, marketing, technology, etc. Volunteers contribute as much or as little time as they wish and enjoy giving of themselves. SCWNE respects and values the passion our dedicated volunteers have and the time they donate to help SCWNE meet its mission in prevention of illness, injury and death.

Please email us at INFO@SCWNE.ORG or call 413-783-1632 to discuss current and future volunteer needs throughout Western New England. A time will be set-up to talk about how your business skills can help the Safety Council of Western New England. Transferring your business skills into an effective volunteer role requires discussion so we understand how to effectively apply your skills and achieve a mutually satisfying relationship for all.
