The Safety Council of Western New England's vision is to be the leading resource and provider of safety education, training and products throughout Western New England. Our SCWNE volunteers' possess a wide range of environmental, health, safety and security experience and take pleasure from continued involvement in roles such as classroom instructors, fund developers, marketers, technologist, office administers, etc. SCWNE volunteers are often retired safety professionals or individuals in job transition and represent a variety of industries. Volunteers contribute as much or as little time as they wish and enjoy sharing their safety expertise. SCWNE respects and values the passion these dedicated volunteers have for the safety profession and the time they donate to help SCWNE meet its mission.

Do I Have To Be Retired To Volunteer?
No. A number of SCWNE volunteers own businesses, manage corporations or own consulting firms. These working professionals contribute to SCWNE as workshop presenters, counselors in our safety network, assembling classroom materials, marketing SCWNE, recruiting members, etc...just about any role you could possibly think of. Both retired and working professionals are welcome to become a SCWNE volunteer.
